Muay Thai มวยไทย, sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “Art of eight limbs”, as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins.

Kickboxing is a combat sport and a form of boxing based on punching and kicking, using fists, shins and knees. Kickboxing focuses more on speed and longer combinations.

In both combats you are required to have GLOVES, HAND WRAPS and SHIN GUARDS. In case you do not have your own equipment, the gym can provide these for your first session. For more experienced members during sparring a mouth guard and head gear is required for those who wish to spar.

Sparring is a way of practicing your techniques to help you to understand how to use and when to use the techniques you have learned during drills, under the coach’s supervision. The coach will be able to correct you and advise you how to improve.

Training sessions start with a warm up, stretching and mobility. Then we will go into learning different techniques, doing partner drills, pads and bag work. All of this will be tailored to your experience.

Please note we offer 60, 90 and 45 minute classes for adults, depending on the time. Please check the schedule page to see our timetable. All the classes for Youth and children are 45 minutes long and there is a seating area for parents to sit and watch the class. Parents must stay for the duration of the class if your children are attending theYouth class (ages 7 – 16).
